2. Information We Collect
From Homeowners:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Home service description and issue details
- Zip code and general location
- Service urgency and budget range
- Chat conversation transcripts with our AI assistant
From Contractors:
- Name, company name, email, and phone number
- Business license and trade information
- Service area zip codes
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details)
- Account activity and lead performance data
Automatically Collected:
- IP address and browser type
- Pages visited and time spent on site
- Device type and operating system
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Match homeowners with qualified local contractors
- Deliver lead information to contractors via SMS and email
- Process payments and manage contractor subscriptions
- Send service confirmations and account notifications
- Improve our AI qualification system and lead quality
- Respond to customer support inquiries
- Comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We share homeowner information with contractors for the sole purpose of providing the requested home service. Specifically:
- With Contractors: When a homeowner submits a service request, their name, phone number, email, and service details are shared with matched contractors in their area.
- With Service Providers: We use Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), SendGrid (email), Twilio (SMS), and Anthropic (AI) to operate our platform. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes. Ever.
5. SMS Communications
By submitting a service request through TradeFuel, you consent to receive SMS messages from TradeFuel and matched contractors regarding your service inquiry. Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out of SMS messages from TradeFuel, reply STOP to any message. For contractor SMS, contact the contractor directly or email leads@tradefuel.co.
6. Data Retention
We retain homeowner lead data for 24 months to facilitate service follow-up and improve lead quality. Contractor account data is retained for the duration of the account and 12 months following cancellation. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing leads@tradefuel.co.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Payment processing via Stripe — PCI DSS compliant
- Database access restricted to authorized systems only
- Regular security reviews and updates
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
